Sostrene Grene is coming to The Royal Exchange Manchester!
We are extremely excited to announce that the old Nationwide building on the Cross Street side of The Royal Exchange is currently being renovated and will soon house a Sostrene Grene oasis of contemporary furnishings and must-have knick-knacks.
If you’re not already acquainted with the delights of this store, Sostrene Grene sells interior furnishings, home accessories, kitchenware, design products, gifts, stationary, and a variety of arts, crafts and DIY. Every Sostrene Grene shop receives a weekly delivery of new, exciting products, some of which are only sold for a limited period of time, all of which are affordably priced.
The first Sostrene Grene store was opened in 1973 by husband and wife team Knud Cresten Vaupell Olsen and Inger Grene. Located in Aarhus, Denmark’s second-largest city, the store was named in honour of two historical sisters from the Grene family, Anna and Clara, who have come to embody the couple’s values and visions for the company. In English, ‘Sostrene Grene’ means ‘The Grene Sisters’, and, across the globe, the store is affectionately referred to as ‘the wonderful world of Anna and Clara’.
Creating positive experiences is key to Sostrene Grene, who use music, aromas, lighting and storytelling to create sublime sanctuaries of calm and beauty in their stores; of which there are more than 200, in 15 different countries.
A wonderful edition to The Royal Exchange’s retail mix, Sostrene Grene embraces the adage that “variety is the spice of life”. We couldn’t agree more!
