Getting Here
Our Location
Ideally situated between St Ann’s Square and Cross Street, the Royal Exchange is easily accessible by train, bus, car and on foot.
The easiest way to get here is by public transport – you can plan your journey at www.tfgm.com.
Car
There are plenty of places to park within a 10-minute walk of the Royal Exchange, if you prefer to drive.
These include Deansgate NCP multi-storey car park (where Blackfriars Street meets Parsonage), High Street multi-storey car park, (above the Arndale Centre) and Manchester Arena car park, next to Victoria station.

Taxi
Take a taxi from either St Mary’s Gate taxi rank or the Albert Square taxi rank, opposite the Town Hall.

Tram
If travelling by Metrolink, the nearest stops are:
- Market Street
- St Peter’s Square
- Exchange Square
Each of these are less than ten minutes away on foot.
There is a frequent and reliable tram service throughout the day and evening from Altrincham, Bury, East Didsbury, Eccles and MediaCityUK.

Bus
There are numerous bus stops within a five-minute walk of the Royal Exchange. The closest stops are:

Stop CZ
These will drop you right outside.
The free city centre Metroshuttle 1 (orange route) also stops directly outside the Cross Street entrance, and the Metroshuttle 2 (green route) stops on Deansgate, just a couple of minutes from the St Ann’s Square entrance.

Each station takes less than 15 minutes to walk, or just a few minutes by bus.
The free Metroshuttle 1 (orange route) runs via Manchester Piccadilly and the Metroshuttle 2 (green route) runs via Oxford Road and Victoria stations.
Manchester Piccadilly provides intercity and cross-country services to national destinations, including London, Birmingham and Bristol. Manchester Victoria provides local and regional services across Northern England, and Manchester Oxford Road serves areas south of the city centre, as well as national destinations, including Liverpool and Sheffield.

Here at The Royal Exchange, we understand the needs of our disabled customers, and we constantly strive to make your shopping experience with us an enjoyable one. The majority of our stores have wheelchair access, though it is best to call ahead to check with individual stores.
Parking

These include Deansgate NCP multi-storey car park with 320 spaces (where Blackfriars Street meets Parsonage), High Street multi-storey car park with 1,450 spaces (above the Arndale Centre) and Manchester Arena car park with 1,000 spaces (next to Victoria Station).
